Sivle is an old farm in the steep terrain of Stalheim, part of the county of Voss.
Per Sivle, one the most famous authors in Norway around 1900, has his roots here. His father, Eirik Sivle, was born at the Sivle farm, and Per grew up on the neighboring Brekke farm after the death of his mother.

Sivle Farm lies in the Protected Landscape Area of Nærøydalen, part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
There is a rich variety of flora and fauna in this vast cultural landscape. Stalheim and the surrounding area has been a popular tourist attraction since the early 1800’s. Many famous artists have painted the unique and wild nature found here.
